Hygiene and Safety Standards

As we return to in-person events, Hospice du Rhône is committed to the health and safety of all event attendees, exhibitors and staff. With the guidance of event industry associations we have developed a set of Hygiene and Safety Standards.

In addition to this set of standards, Hospice du Rhône will follow recommendations from public health officials, federal, state, and local authorities, and venues. Please be prepared to comply with all current public health regulations set by the state of California at the time of our event.

COVID-19 Policy

Please note, Hospice du Rhône will be requiring all event attendees, exhibitors and staff to be vaccinated against COVID-19, or provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours from time of entry into the event venue.  

Ventilation and Physical Distancing

Venue ventilation
Opening and Closing Tastings will be held in an open air pavilion. All meals will be outdoor seating, per usual. 

Contactless registration 
Online registration is encouraged for all participants. In addition, we will provide outdoor onsite check-in.

Social distancing 
Adjustments have been made in spacing throughout the event to allow for less crowd density. Participants should take note of signage regarding traffic flow, entrances, and exits.

Physical contact guidelines
Participants should limit physical contact such as handshakes, hugs, kisses.

Cleaning and Hygiene

Hand sanitation 
Hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the event space, along with signage to promote their use.

Enhanced cleaning 
Our team will work closely with the venue to ensure sanitization of our event spaces, including restrooms, door handles, food service areas, dining tables, AV equipment, and common areas. Exhibitors will be encouraged to frequently disinfect their booths.

Food and beverage 
We will work with our food service to enhance food safety and reduce the amount of self-serve buffet meals, and replace with designated server, boxed or wrapped individual meals, when applicable.


Pre-event communication 
We will provide a series of email communications to all participants with detailed information about what to expect at the event.

Contact tracing 
Should it become necessary, we will contact participants if potential exposure to COVID-19 at the event may have occurred, while respecting the privacy of any involved parties.
