In any organization there are individuals who stand out due to their dedication to the goals of the company. Hospice du Rhône is fortunate to benefit from the support of many such individuals. Since 1996 Hospice du Rhône has felt it appropriate to publically recognize particular individuals for their unwavering passion for Rhône varieties.

When we think of Dave Miner and all that he means to us, many beautiful facets come to mind: Dave the extremely passionate wine industry person, the generous devotee of the mission of Hospice du Rhône, the loving, nurturing family man, and most certainly the guiding light of Miner Family Wines going to all lengths to be sure his team is well cared for and appreciated. Dear friends, Dave Miner is all this and more.
One of our goals in gathering together, at Hospice du Rhône, from around the world is to help promote a genuine spirit of community. Our dreams of expanded collaboration throughout this Rhône-based fellowship have been wonderfully realized by Dave’s actions. He is adamant about learning from others. His many relationships with international winemakers embody the soul of Hospice du Rhône. La Diligence, the Miner Family project with winemaker François Villard of the Northern Rhône Valley, is an especially poignant example of this resolve.
Whether it be participating in a seminar, pouring his wines at the tastings, donating wine for our auction or persistently raising his paddle to bid, Dave Miner is there for us, with that ubiquitous playful twinkle in his eyes.
