The Rhône Valley: From the South to the North

Join Bistro Laurent and Ex Cellers as we enjoy wines from the southern Rhône appellations and finish in the northern Rhône. Chef Laurent Grangien will prepare a five course meal as Patrik Will from Ex Cellars will provide wonderful vintages and great producers including E Guigal, La Crau, Domaine Chante Pedrix and more. Obscure & Rhonley

Obscure & Rhonley, a cocktail format tapas party. We have partnered up with Eric Solomon Selections to bring you wines from regions just North and South of the Spanish/French border. Wines will be paired with the cuisine of Chef Tom Fundaro. This is great way to kick off HdR 2009. The event will begin at 7:00pm in the courtyard at Villa Creek Restaurant. Somms Gone Wilder, the panelists from the Somms Gone Wild seminar (Richard Betts, Cris Cherry, Paul Lato, and John Lancaster & Robert Perkins) are joining forces to do a dinner showing their skills as Winemakers and Sommeliers. During the reception Chef Tom will prepare 4 appetizers that each Somm will pair a wine (not theirs) with. Following the reception Chef Tom will prepare a 4 course dinner paired with the exciting wines of these talented winemakers. Paso Robles Outsiders

On Friday night May 1, 2009 at Barrel 27 Winery, as part of the Hospice du Rhône celebration, we will have a unique winemakers dinner with six Central Coast wineries. Wines from Barrel 27, Herman Story Wines, Hug Cellars, Alta Maria, McPrice Myers and Bodega de Edgar. Acclaimed French chef Claude Chazalon will work his magic and prepare a sumptuous feast that will match perfectly with the Rhône varietals of these limited production wineries.
