Pairing Rhônes and food

Hospice du Rhône is excited to be partnering with the girl & the fig and Field to Table for meals at the 2022 Hospice du Rhône Paso Robles.  

For over twenty years, Sonoma mainstay the girl & the fig has presented 'country food with a French passion'. The restaurant's producer-focused, international 'Rhône-Alone' winelist concentrates solely on Rhône varieties, emphasizing their food friendliness. Along with their passion for Rhône wines and French cuisine, there is something distinctly Californian to the girl & the fig.  Their seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, often grown in the fig garden, are simply but expertly prepared with heart and elegance.  And perhaps most of all, they approach food and wine with the same sense of 'serious fun' we strive to embody.

Field to Table is not only a movement of eating synonymous with California dining, it is quite literally founder and California Central Coast native Tracy Labastida's life journey as a farmer turned chef. With family ties in local produce farming and an interest in sustainable growing, furthered by degrees in Agriculture Business and Nutrition from Cal Poly, Labastida created Field to Table in 2013. Field to Table shines in presenting cuisine with eye-catching visual elements, along with a sense of freshness and ease that is distinctive to the California Central Coast.

A meal to see through rosé-colored glasses...this lunch prepared by Sonoma-based the girl & the fig will offer a wide selection of Rhône rosés, with many bottles donated by attending producers. Outdoor seating. Pink attire encouraged!

Live Auction Lunch
Saturday, April 23, 2022 // $125 or Weekend Pass
12:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. 
Paying homage to the cattle industry history of Paso Robles, the live auction lunch is led by auctioneer Todd Ventura and his crew - that means lots are coming in hot and fast!  The live auction during this lunch, prepared by Field to Table, offers an exclusive opportunity to bid on rare lots generously donated by Rhône producers and friends of Hospice du Rhône. Outdoor seating.

Farewell Dinner
Saturday, April 23, 2022 // $150 or Weekend Pass
7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
We finish the event with a meal prepared by local produce-focused Field to Table, in what promises to be a feast of vibrant cuisine and Rhône wines in the company of Rhône-lovers.  Live music from Mark Adams Band (starring Mark Adams of Ledge Vineyards), along with other 'winemakers and somms who rock'. Outdoor seating.
